Our Story
We have been passionate TV enthusiasts since the groundbreaking era of 'LOST', which transformed television from disposable procedurals into high-budget, serialized storytelling. Today, serialized TV is bigger than ever, but production reality introduces a frustrating problem: new seasons take 12 to 18 months to release. During that wait, you watch dozens of other series, and when the new season drops, the finer plot points are long forgotten.
Why Existing Solutions Fall Short
Rewatching prior seasons takes dozens of hours—a luxury few can afford. Official streaming recap clips are often superficial or non-existent, YouTube video recaps frequently run 15–20 minutes per season (taking over an hour for multi-season shows), and Wikipedia plot summaries flood the reader with tedious episode-by-episode breakdowns and minor character clutter.
The 2-Minute Recap Standard
We built RecapUs to solve this dilemma once and for all. Rather than recounting every single episode detail, we isolate core plot shifts, character arcs, and the final state of play. Each season is condensed into a structured, highly readable summary taking just 2–3 minutes to read. Catching up on a 4-season show takes under 10 minutes total.
Interactive UX & Curated Premiere Calendar
To solve the visual limitation of text, we built interactive character popovers: hovering or tapping any character's name instantly displays their portrait. Additionally, we maintain an automatically updated Release Calendar with strict noise-filtering—removing filler and tracking only high-quality serialized premieres, complete with air dates and official trailers.
