By accessing or using RecapUs ("we", "our", or "website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use or access the site.
2. Editorial Nature & No Video Hosting
RecapUs is a purely text-based informational and educational resource. We DO NOT host, stream, archive, or transmit video files, media downloads, or illegal streams of TV shows or movies. The site provides written season recaps, summaries, and editorial commentary only.
3. Intellectual Property & Fair Use Disclosure
All text recaps published on RecapUs are original editorial works created by our team. Character names, show titles, and plot references are used strictly under the principles of Fair Use (17 U.S.C. § 107) for purposes of criticism, commentary, news reporting, and education. Automated web scraping, data extraction, or unauthorized reproduction of our written text is strictly prohibited.
4. Third-Party Data & API Attributions
Show metadata, artwork, posters, and cast photos are sourced via public APIs including the TMDb API, OMDb API, and TVmaze API. Show posters are cached/proxied, and character images are served via TVmaze. This product uses the TMDb and TVmaze APIs but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb or TVmaze. All show logos, names, and promotional artwork remain the property of their respective copyright owners and studios.
5. DMCA & Copyright Infringement Policy
RecapUs respects the intellectual property rights of creators and studios. If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content hosted on our site infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a formal notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to hello@recapus.com.
6. DMCA Takedown Notice Requirements
To be valid, your notice must include: (a) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) Direct URL link(s) to the specific page on RecapUs; (c) Your contact information (full name, mailing address, telephone, email); (d) A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is unauthorized; and (e) An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner. Valid notices are processed within 48 business hours.

Our website contains links to external legal streaming platforms and databases (e.g., IMDb, JustWatch). We do not control or endorse the content, policies, or availability of third-party websites. All materials on RecapUs are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
